What They Needed
With a vision to service an attractive market in the Stanley, WI area, with a greenfield location that had robust highway access, we partnered to assess their business from the ground up. After gathering information pertaining to their supply chains and business goals, we designed and built a large dry fertilizer solution that supported both rail and trucking logistical supply chains.
What Stueve Designed
We designed and built a facility with approximately 15,000 tons of dry fertilizer storage. In order to accommodate inclement weather and still operate, we designed rail and truck receiving enclosures which could support these large transportation assets performing during cold and snowy conditions. In order to accommodate the needs of rail receiving, we designed and built a very deep receiving pit which houses a staircase access for maintenance purposes that’s 14 feet below ground level. To accommodate for future growth, we designed and built a two-lane enclosed loadout building so they have an ability to install another tower in the future should the business case present itself.
